My dad used to tell me that life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. Many times in my profession as well as in my personal life, I have had the opportunity to react with understanding and grace during a frustrating time.
Pulling into my Airbnb late last night, I wasn't expecting to find dirty dishes in the sink and unmade beds. After a call to the horrified owner, we sat down to dinner to regroup. During dinner he not only found a cleaning crew for the house but found us hotel rooms with a beach view and paid for the night.
Not only am I waking up to a spectacular view, I'm waking up being thankful for my new friend that I look forward to meeting one day and the peace of knowing that unexpected things can bring blessings and joy if you're willing to react with grace!
